Police say a person died when a car crashed into a home in Kansas City, Kansas.
The crash happened about 12:15 a.m. Saturday. A passenger in the car was thrown from the vehicle and died at the scene. Police say a preliminary investigation found the car was speeding on State Avenue when the driver lost control and went off the road into the house.
The driver was taken to a hospital in serious condition.
