Cargill is showing record profits... and the Wichita operation has played a big role. A Bloomberg report shows net income at Cargill of nearly 4.3 billion dollars through the first nine months of its current fiscal year. That tops the previous annual record of 3.95 billion dollars. The surge in profits come during a boom in agriculture... and high margins on beef processing is one of the primary financial drivers. Cargill’s Wichita operations serve as a headquarters for the company’s North American protein business.
