A 26-year-old woman was arrested after a 2-year-old was found unresponsive in a south Wichita home.
Police said just before 3 a.m. Friday, officers were dispatched to a home near Broadway and 47th Street South. The child was taken to a local hospital and remains in critical condition. Two other children inside the home were placed into protective custody.
Officers found evidence in the home that was consistent with distribution of dangerous drugs, which prompted a response from the Wichita Police bomb squad.
The woman was booked into the Sedgwick County Jail on suspicion of three counts of aggravated child endangerment and distribution of narcotics.
