At Tuesday's meeting the Wichita City Council will consider adoption of the Wichita/Sedgwick County Food System Master Plan. Mayor Brandon Whipple tells KNSS News so-called "food deserts" prevent people from getting reasonable access to healthy foods, so they must travel several miles to get that good food.
The Mayor says the plan has been ten years in the making.
City Council will consider pay raises for City Manager Robert Layton, who's been working as city manager for 13 years. Mayor Whipple says the boost in salary will be retroactive.
