Recent rain has brought the water level up at Wichita's primary source of water, Cheney Reservoir. Mayor Lily Wu tells KNSS News the Wichita City Council will hear from its Public Works Department August 19th regarding measures taken to preserve water. Wu says Public Works favors a plan similar to Oklahoma City's, which allows watering every other day
At Tuesday's meeting, the Wichita City Council will hear a report on the City's financial situation. Mayor Wu says the council is "right in the middle of our budget season". The City Council will approve next year's budget August 26th.
Also at Tuesday's meeting, the City Council will hear a report on the city's sidewalks, trails, and paths.
