Classes have been canceled Wednesday for USD-373, Newton Public Schools, due to what is being called a network security incident.
District officials said that they detected a network security incident Tuesday that is affecting certain systems within its network environment.
While the affected systems were immediately shut down, forensic specialists have been investigating the extent of the activity, and law enforcement has also been notified.
The district said in a statement that they are working to mitigate any delays or disruptions to their network.
