The agreement with Rink Management Services Corporation (RMSC), will take effect when the Genesis contract ends this month.
The vote was 6 - 1 with council member Jeff Blubaugh voting no.
RMSC’s contract will be for five years with an option for an additional five. The contract includes a fee of $6,500 a month. The city will provide an account to monitor monthly revenues and expenses and will be responsible for all repairs over $5,000. Any repairs less than that will be performed by RMSC from the operating fund.
