
A Wellington man was hospitalized Friday night following a two-vehicle crash on the Kansas Turnpike.
It happened around 10:30 p.m. in the northbound lanes of I-35 in Sumner County near mile marker 9.4. The Kansas Highway Patrol says a vehicle was slowing down when it was rear-ended by another car.
28-year-old Timothy Nash of Wellington, who was slowing down his vehicle, sustained serious injuries and was transported to a local hospital. The other driver, 42-year-old Joshua Clark of Manhattan, was uninjured.
The crash is under investigation.
