A number of wildfires were causing concern around the state Monday afternoon. One of the largest was south of Lakin and burned at least a six-mile path.
A wildfire was reported in south Reno County, west of Pretty Prairie, and south of Arlington. Reno County officials say crews also worked a small fire west of Hutchinson.
A wildfire also flared up in northeast Kingman County north of Highway-400 and northwest of Cheney. Kingman County officials said crews are worked a pasture fire north of Highway 54 near northeast 120th.
Other fires were reported in south Rice County, and in McPherson County, north of Groveland.
There is no information on whether any buildings were burned.
