Derby Police are searching for a suspect in a Friday evening shooting that left a person with serious injuries.
Shortly before 9 p.m., officers were called to the 100 block of Maryland Street, near Meadowlark and N. Buckner in Derby.
Police say one person suffered 1 to possibly 2 gunshot wounds and was taken to the hospital in serious condition. They add the shooter and victim knew each other and the shooting began as an altercation between the two people.
