Forbes Advisor has issued its list of the nation's worst drivers ranked by state; Kansas ranks as the 8th-worst state for drivers of motor vehicles.

The study says Kansas has the second-highest number of fatal car accidents involving distracted drivers who disobeyed traffic signs, signals, or a traffic officer.

The Sunflower State also has the third-highest number of fatal car accidents involving distracted drivers, and the third-highest number of fatal crashes involving drowsy drivers.

Kansas' ranking was an improvement over last year, when the state was ranked with the 3rd-worst drivers overall.
