The Emergency Accident Reporting Plan, or EARP, is now in effect for the city of Wichita.
If you have a non-injury accident and the vehicles are drivable, no alcohol or drugs are involved, you can print an accident form from the Sedgwick County website or pick one up at a local QuikTrip store and complete them with your information.
The snowy and icy conditions are likely responsible for an injury accident on eastbound Kellogg at the Washington exit just before 11:30 a.m. The three-vehicle wreck backed up traffic westward through the Central Business district. Before 12:30 p.m., a rollover crash was reported on eastbound Kellogg between Oliver and Edgemoor.
Through the evening, expect partially to completely snow packed roadways, making travel increasingly difficult. Please allow yourself extra time to get to your destination. Go slow and use your headlights. Use extreme caution around snowplows: stay back, give them room to work and don't pass them.
A Winter Storm Warning remains in effect, with 4-8" of snow forecast for Wichita. Those totals will be less southeast of the city and more to the northwest.
Through Noon Saturday, 4" of snow was reported in northwest Hutchinson, with 2" in McPherson and Kingman, 1" in Clearwater and 0.8" officially at Eisenhower National Airport.
Weather conditions will improve Sunday.
