A man died and a woman received medical attention following a crash involving a motorcycle on Tuesday afternoon in the southeast part of Wichita; it happened at Lincoln & Oliver, shortly before 3:30 p.m.
Police located a motorcyclist laying on the ground and a Kia Soul flipped onto its side. The motorcyclist, 22-year-old Blaise Stewart, was attended to by first-responders, but he died at the scene.
Bystanders helped a 61-year-old woman out of the car, and she was hospitalized.
The car was going south-bound on Oliver, turning east on to Lincoln, when it collided with the north-bound motorcycle in the intersection. Investigators believe speed may have been a factor in this crash.
