Fire damaged a single-story apartment building in south Wichita. It happened around 7:00 p.m. Thursday night in the 2200 block of S. Broadway, near Pawnee.

Officials said the blaze begin in the back of the structure where they found a couch and stacks of trash.
There were no injuries, but the Red Cross was called to assist the fourteen residents displaced by the fire.
