Wednesday marks the anniversary of the attack on Pearl Harbor 81 years ago, when the Imperial Japanese Navy launched their sneak attack on America's naval base in Hawaii. Over 24-hundred American service members and civilians were killed, and over 1-thousand were wounded in the attack. The bombing raid also destroyed nearly 20 American naval vessels and over 300 aircraft.
Kansas Governor Laura Kelly has ordered flags be flown at half-staff starting Wednesday through sundown on Thursday.
