A fugitive from Riley County who fled from Augusta Police officers has been found in Wichita and taken in custody.
Around 5 p.m. Friday, Augusta Police conducted a vehicle stop in the 300 block of W. 7th Street.
That suspect, Christian Lee King, had a felony warrant out of Riley County. As officers attempted to arrest him, he took off running through Augusta neighborhoods.
An extensive search by the Augusta Department of Public Safety, the Butler County Sheriff's Office, the El Dorado Police Department and the Kansas Highway Patrol ground and air units came up empty.
However, King was located in Wichita Saturday and was taken into custody.
