Iconic Wichita radio voice Steve McIntosh retires after a Hall of Fame career

New Year's Eve was the final show on the air for Steve McIntosh, who is retiring at the end of the year.

Several special guests appeared live on "Steve & Ted in the Morning", which has been on the air hosted by McIntosh on KNSS for nearly 28 years, and 7,100 episodes.

Among the guests on Steve's final show:

*former Wichita radio icon Dave Phillips

*Wichita State men's basketball radio announcer and former Sedgwick County district court judge Dave Dahl

*former Wichita Eagle columnist & weekly guest on the show, Bonnie Bing

*Wichita Business Journal editor Kirk Seminoff

*Kansas City Chiefs play-by-play announcer Mitch Holthus (a fellow inductee along with McIntosh in the 2008 class of the Kansas Association of Broadcasters Hall of Fame)

*Cris Keeter, from All States Home Improvement

*Steve's wife Shelley, his daughter Staci, and his son Scott

*Also in-studio were Steve's twin granddaughters, Jocelyn and Mary.

McIntosh is retiring after a 55-year-career in Wichita radio.
