First responders rolled to a house fire this morning in east Wichita. Just after 1:15 a.m. firefighters were called to 9479 east Cross Creek Circle, southwest of 13th and Webb.
Upon arrival, crews found heavy flames coming from the garage area and front part of the two-story house. A few minutes later, more crews were called to assist at the scene. The occupants of the house were unaccounted for, but they were located in a parking lot behind the house with minor injuries. They were evaluated at the scene and later released.
Cause of the blaze is under investigation, but appears the damage may exceed $200,00O.dollars.
