With the Christmas season comes Illuminations, the annual light display at Wichita's Botanica. Executive Director Dr. Lynette Zimmerman tells KNSS News The Grand Tree Lighting is set for next Tuesday. She says it's a preview to Illuminations and Santa, music, and food will help make it a good family night.
Zimmerman says as many as 150,000 people could experience Illuminations this year. Zimmerman says technology has changed since Illuminations began in 1990, with lighted candles. They now have more than 2 million electric lights on display.
Tickets for the Tree Lighting and Illuminations are available at botanica.org. Illuminations runs from November 29th to January 4th.
