
Major airlines expect further delays after more than 7,000 flights in and out of the U.S. were delayed and more than 800 were canceled as of Wednesday, because of problems with FAA computers.

But which cities typically experience the worst delays, and where could stranded passengers take advantage of the extra time?
Lawn Love ranked nearly 130 U.S. cities served by the busiest airports to determine 2023’s Best and Worst Cities for Long Layovers.
Wichita ranked among the bottom third of the list of 128 cities, at #85. Wichita scored rather poorly in the rankings for "Things To Do", "Delays", and "Getting Around".
Wichita's Dwight D. Eisenhower National Airport scored fairly well in the rankings when it came to "Affordability" (#25), and "Cancellations" (#33).
