The Kansas Heart Hospital is suing its former CFO and CEO. The hospital claims former executives Steve Smith and Joyce Heismeyer took money from the organization and improperly returned pandemic relief funding. The lawsuit was filed April 29th in Wichita Federal Court. The hospital is seeking $31 million dollars. Wichita Business Journal reports former president and management committee chairman Gregory Duick is implicated in the actions... but is not named as a defendant.
