A woman's body was discovered after she was apparently hit by a train.
Police say it happened just after 7:00 a.m. Friday morning in the 900 block of Cottonwood, in Ellis. Officers had been notified that Twila Wilson, 53, was possibly missing, after she didn't show up for work.
Wilson's vehicle was found in the 900 block of Cottonwood, along with her cellphone. A few hours later, Wilson's body was found west of the Cottonwood Street railroad crossing.
Investigators believe Wilson was walking along the tracks, when she was struck by a train.
The incident remains under investigation.
