The Kansas Bureau of Investigation (KBI) arrested a lieutenant with the Brown County Sheriff's Office.
At around 6:30 Thursday evening, KBI agents coordinated the surrender and arrest of Larry D. Myer, 63, of Lancaster, Kansas, at the Jackson County Jail. Myer was arrested on a warrant for intimidation of a witness or victim, and harassment by a telecommunication device. Both are misdemeanor charges.
In January 2026, the KBI was asked by the Kickapoo Tribal Police Department to investigate alleged threats and harassment of a tribal officer who ticketed Myer for a traffic violation in December of 2025.
Investigative findings were presented to a special prosecutor from the Johnson County District Attorney's Office, who was appointed by Brown County.
Following his arrest, Myer was released on bond.
