Erik Lawrence DeLeon, 42, died unexpectedly Friday. The cause of death is pending the results of an independent autopsy.
DeLeon was serving a 188-month sentence after being convicted in Ford County for aggravated robbery and criminal possession of a firearm.
The KDOC says the El Dorado Correctional Facility is an all-male facility housing all custody levels with a current population of 1832 residents.
