Kansans can now update their vehicle’s address without visiting a DMV office. The Kansas Department of Revenue is pleased to announce updates to iKan, the state’s digital government platform. Along with an improved resident profile interface, Kansans can now update their vehicle’s address on the platform up to 90 days before their renewal date. a process that used to require a trip to a DMV office.
“Our goal with iKan has always been to make vehicle and driver services readily available to all Kansans,” said David Harper, KDOR Division of Vehicles Director. “This new feature is a significant step towards that vision, allowing us to better serve Kansans and improving the customer experience by reducing the need for in-office visits.”
First introduced in 2018, iKan allows residents to renew driver’s and CDL licenses, ID cards, and vehicle registrations; order birth, death, and marriage certificates, request address changes for licenses and vehicles, and purchase annual park passes. The platform is available on web or mobile browsers and with a native mobile application.
