A lightning strike may have sparked a house fire in east Wichita. It happened Monday morning near 21st and 143rd street East.
Fire crews arrived to find smoke coming from the roof of the home. Neighbors said they heard the lightning strike before the fire started. No one was home at the time of the blaze which did about $25,000 in damage.
