Presidential elections always attract more Americans to the polls than local elections, even though local and state office-holders can have more direct impact on citizens' lives than federal office holders. Sedgwick County Commission Chair Pete Meitzner tells KNSS News local elections impact economic development, highways, building an important, supporting new water, and those things have an impact on our everyday lives.
At Wednesday's meeting, the Sedgwick County Commission will look at a lease for a new home for the county's administrative offices. Meitzner says the property is located at 350 North Water in downtown Wichita. Meitzner says the County will have a 90-day option to examine the property to make sure it meets the county's need for office.
Meitzner commented during his weekly chat with Steve and Ted in the Morning on KNSS.
