Over the next few months, Integra Technologies will be looking for a location for a $1.8 billion microchip factory. Sedgwick County Commission Chair Pete Meitzner tells KNSS News Integra is an employee-owned Wichita company that's been in business 40 years, and they've already been working with certification microchips that actually work. The company will reportedly need a million-square-foot plant. State and federal dollars are going into the project.
At Wednesday's meeting, the Sedgwick County Commission will look at a FEMA grant application to help pay for new ambulances. Meitzner says four vehicles need to be replaced in the coming years, and a grant will accelerate the process.
Meitzner commented during his weekly chat with Steve and Ted in the Morning on KNSS.
