The Sedgwick County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the death of a woman in a domestic violence-related incident at Lake Afton.
At 10:45 Friday night, Sedgwick County 911 received a call from a 66-year-old man who reported his girlfriend was dead inside their residence. The two lived in a camper at the Lake Afton campgrounds.
First responders say Dorothy Finley, 55, had multiple injuries to her head, consistent with blunt force trauma. Robert Courchaine was taken into custody and booked on charges of first-degree murder and domestic violence aggravated battery.
