
Update: Police have identified the man who was shot and killed Friday evening in south Wichita.
Officers arrived just before 6:15 p.m. to the 900 block of S. Vassar and found the victim, Brian Baker, 48, in a front yard with multiple gunshot wounds to his torso. Baker was taken to a local hospital where he died a short time later.
Multiple witnesses told Police the incident began as an argument and physical altercation between neighbors that led to the gunfire.
When officers arrived, the suspect came out of his residence and surrendered. He was booked into the Sedgwick County Jail on charges of voluntary manslaughter and aggravated assault. Sedgwick County Jail records identify the suspect as Allan Gunneson, 38.

Police say the shooting started as a dispute among neighbors. The suspect is a 39-year-old man, who surrendered to authorities.
