One man has died after a traffic accident in south Wichita. On Thursday, April 17th Wichita Police were dispatched after receiving a report of a crash involving a motorcycle and a school bus. According to WPD it happened just before 5 p.m. in the 1000 block of East MacArthur.
In a statement, the Wichita Police Department says officers located the motorcycle driver had sustained severe injuries. Emergency medical personnel rendered aid at the scene. The driver was transported to Wesley Medical Center in critical condition and succumbed to his injuries Friday morning.
Police identified the driver as Richard Daniels. The initial investigation indicates that Daniels was traveling eastbound on MacArthur when a school bus made a left turn in front of him, resulting in the collision. There were no other injuries reported. The incident remains under investigation.
