A 27-year-old Wichita man was hospitalized in serious condition after a crash on I-235 in northwest Wichita Friday afternoon.
It happened just before 2 p.m. as a vehicle and a concrete truck were traveling northbound in the left lane of I-235 near the K-96/Meridian exit. The Kansas Highway Patrol says the vehicle pulled over on the inside shoulder after suffering a mechanical issue when the concrete truck rear-ended it, which was partially in the left lane.
The driver of the concrete truck was uninjured.
