Wichita Police are investigating why a man was struck by a train Friday evening in south Wichita.
It happened around 5 p.m. near Skinner and Mead, near Mount Vernon and Southeast Blvd.
Police said the man was clipped by the train’s stairs but don’t know why he was near the train in the first place. They report the man was uncooperative with officers, but was transported to a local hospital for treatment of his injuries.
