On Wednesday afternoon, police responded to reports of a shooting at a massage parlor at the Boulevard Plaza in the southeast part of Wichita, east of Lincoln & George Washington Blvd.
Officers discovered an individual, identified as 44-year-old Robexy Figueroa from Wyoming, with multiple gunshot wounds; Figueroa was pronounced deceased at the scene by Sedgwick County EMS.
Preliminary investigations suggest Figueroa entered the establishment armed with a firearm to commit a robbery. An altercation ensued between Figueroa and a 71-year-old man, resulting in an exchange of gunfire.
The older man sustained multiple gunshot injuries and was hospitalized; he's currently in stable condition and is expected to recover.
