A Derby man who died in a fiery car crash Wednesday night has been identified.
Derby Police say Kurtis Tabor, 27, was ejected from his vehicle following a crash with another vehicle. It happened just before 10:00 p.m. Wednesday night, at Patriot and Rough Creek Rd.
Shortly after the crash, one of the vehicles caught fire. Witnesses told Derby police that Tabor was driving erratically and at a high rate of speed eastbound on East Patriot when he hit a juvenile head-on that was traveling westbound.
Tabor was pronounced dead at the scene. The juvenile was taken to an area hospital in critical condition.
