Late Tuesday afternoon, Wichita police were called to a collision in the 1800 block of N. Rock Road; they located a crash involving a motorcycle and a sedan.
A 75-year-old woman was driving a vehicle south-bound on Rock when she turned in front of the north-bound motorcycle, and they collided.
The driver of the motorcycle was 41-year-old Robert Johnson; he was transported by EMS to a hospital where he later died.
Investigators from the Wichita Police Department Accident Follow-up Section and the Critical Accident Team responded; the investigation shows that speed appeared to be a factor in the collision.
All involved parties remained on the scene and have been cooperative with the investigation.
