The board conducted a spirited debate about dropping all mask requirements immediately.  That motion was introduced by Kathy Bond, but was opposed by Sheril Logan.

The motion failed by a vote of 2 - 4.  However, a second motion to remove all mask requirements on school buses in the district on March 11th did pass on a unanimous vote.

This ruling coincides with the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention’s updated masks recommendations. As of Feb. 25, masks are no longer required on buses or vans operated by public or private school systems, including early care and education/child care programs.

The board previously decided to end mask requirements in school buildings after spring break.
