
Controversy at the Wichita Police Department after officers were found to be sharing racist text messages. Mayor Brandon Whipple tells KNSS News a citizens reveiw board and an internal investigation resulted in two officers being repremanded and nine more "got a talking to". The mayor says the response was not "appropriate". He called the text messages "horrific".
Whipple says most Wichita police officers are "some of the greatest people" in the city, and they get enough attention for the good things they do.
Whipple commented during Mondays with the Mayor ... on the Steve and Ted in the Morning Show on KNSS.
