Wichita Mayor Lily Wu tells KNSS News the annual Riverfest is not only a "great community building event," but it also attracts visitors to the city's core area. Wu says Wichita restaurants see an uptick in business during the River Festival.
The Wichita City Council meets at 6 pm Tuesday to discuss one item: the property tenants code. Mayor Lily Wu says the Council hasn't looked at this issue since 2023.
Mayor Wu, Sedgwick County Commission Chair Ryan Baty, and Wichita Board of Education President Diane Albert will host a town hall meeting Wednesday at 5 pm at City Hall. The Mayor says it's a "great opportunity" to look for possible duplication of services.
