McConnell Air Force Base says activity will increase during the next several days as aircraft arrive for the Frontiers in Flight Airshow, taking place in Wichita on Saturday & Sunday (August 24-25).
Through Wednesday, McConnell says most of its aircraft will leave the base for other locations, making room for airshow activities and set-up.
On Wednesday afternoon, the vintage B-29 Doc will arrive and be part of the center display for the show, along with a pair of KC-135 Stratotankers, and two KC-46 Pegasus tankers from McConnell.
