An elderly woman with dementia, who went missing on Monday in Montgomery County, has been found.
Due to the extreme heat and the large area of terrain that needed to be searched, multiple agencies responded to assist.
A Kansas Game Warden K9 is credited with tracked down the woman’s location on Tuesday.
When searchers approached her, the woman was alert and walking. She was given water and then transported to a hospital in Independence to be evaluated.
