A man was killed when he ran onto the Interstate south of Salina. It happened around 6:30 Thursday morning, in the southbound lanes of I-135, near mile marker 86.
The Kansas Highway Patrol says David Jackson, 25, of St. Louis, Missouri, ran out into the interstate after his car collided with another car on the highway. He was struck by a Chevy Equinox. He died at the scene.
The driver and passenger in the Equinox were not injured.
