Most City of Wichita facilities will reopen on Tuesday, January 7 during normal operational hours except for a few exceptions:
OJ Watson Park
Wichita Public Golf
Keeper of the Plains Ring of Fire
Kansas Wildlife Exhibit
The January 8 District 3 District Advisory Board has been cancelled
Public Works crews continue working around-the-clock to treat streets. As a reminder, the effectiveness of brine and salt/sand diminishes the lower the temperature gets, and snow-packed conditions will continue to make roads difficult to travel.
Residents are urged to continue to be cautious while driving and plan for extra time to reach their destinations.
