Sedgwick County Appraiser Mark Clark says 87 percent of residential properties in the county will see an increase in value this year.

The latest valuation summary indicates the average increase in value is 9 percent. Twelve percent will see no change, while only 1 percent will have a decrease in value, falling by an average of 6 percent.

Clark says valuation notices will only be sent to those who experience a change in appraised value or classification from 2024. You have 30 days to appeal any change. Appeal meetings will begin March 17, conducted primarily by phone.

If you don't receive a notice in the mail, your appraisal information can be found on the county's web site, beginning March 1.
