
Kansas City, KS – A KCK woman has been charged with first degree murder in Wyandotte County accused of killing a woman who was shot while driving her car.
Investigators say Lillian Jackson, 62, was driving home from Mount Zion Baptist Church on September 18th. She was caught in the middle of a rolling gun battle. Her car was hit several times by bullets, she died instantly they say.
Monday, the Wyandotte County District Attorney announced a first degree murder charge against Melanie Perry, 29, of KCK. Perry also faces criminal discharge of a weapon.
Perry faces other unrelated charges and has been in the Wyandotte County jail since Oct. 20.
