Wichita Police are investigating the death of a 49-year-old man as a homicide.
Around 8:45 Friday morning, officers and Wichita Fire crews responded to a report of a man down near the entrance to an alley in the 2400 block of North Jeanette, in north Wichita. The victim was found with a gunshot wound and was pronounced dead at the scene.
Initial findings suggest the man was shot somewhere else and collapsed after fleeing the scene on a bicycle.
