Sedgwick County has a new leader for its appraisal office.
Deanna Aspedon was sworn in as county appraiser at Wednesday's county meeting. Aspedon has been with the county since 1998, most recently serving as the county's Residential/Agricultural project leader. She says she welcomes the opportunity with a goal to modernize the department.
Deputy CFO Brent Shelton served as Interim County Appraiser over the last 6 months, after the retirement of Mark Clark in June of 2025.
