At Wednesday's meeting, the Sedgwick County Commission will discuss the Northwest Expressway project. Commission Chair Ryan Baty tells KNSS News the Commission will approve an agreement to put money into a fund to purchase right-of-way property for the highway, with dollars matched by the Kansas Department of Transportation. It's an idea that's been knocked around several years; a highway connecting K96 north of Maize to US54 near Goddard.
Also at Wednesday's meeting, the Commission will adopt a revised emergency operations plan. Baty says this plan is updated constantly to deal with nagtural disasters.
Baty commented during his weekly chat with Steve and Ted in the Morning on KNSS.
