Investigators determined that Gibbons' eastbound car crossed the center line and collided with a westbound sport utility vehicle. Gibbons' car was then hit by a second vehicle — a westbound minivan. Gibbons and her son were pronounced dead at the scene. The man, 49, driving the minivan was taken to a hospital with serious injuries.
