A man is dead after an ATV accident Saturday afternoon in north Kansas. The Kansas Highway Patrol reports 64-year-old Terry Gitchel of Phillipsburg was driving an all-terrain vehicle about 12 miles northeast of Gretna in Phillips County around 3 p.m.
Officers say Gitchel was in a pasture and attempted to go up a steep incline. The ATV could not make the incline and flipped over backwards. He was pronounced dead at the scene of the accident.
